A spectacular cave formation not to be missed. It is open to the public most of the year. There are various guided tours available for all levels of experience and ability. Assisi
In the heart of Umbria , on the slope of mount Subasio. Visitors are attracted by art treasures and Franciscan memories which the town jealously preserves. Assisi is rich with evocations and religious ceremonies all year round, with cribs in churches and streets, renewing the mystic Franciscan poetry. Lake Fiastra
Lago di Fiastra is a stunning man made lake set in the dramatic landscape of the Sibillini Mountains. The lake is surrounded by a shingle beach, and in summer is warm enough to swim in. San Lorenzo offers a few shops and restaurants for you to enjoy aswell as boat and canoe hire. You could enjoy a days fishing (licence obtained from the local post office), walk one of the many trails, bird watch for the plentiful golden eagles or just find yourself a secluded spot and enjoy a days sunbathing.
